To us, this is more than a hobby, it is our passion. Our breeders are obtained from reputable small catteries that hold to the high standards we do. They are all CFA registered. Each receives annual extensive health exams and vaccinations, and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. They have all tested negative for PKD-( DNA) from a certified labratory. PKD is a hereditary kidney disease common among persians. We also culture our breeders for ringworm, and are proud to announce we are ringworm free. As a preventative measure, all of our adults receive FrontLine. Only top quality foods are used for our Sires and Queens. When you consider the expense of optimum vet care for each breeder, preventive methods used to ensure the health of each one, top quality foods, and the extensive testing we do to ensure healthy litters, it gets expensive. We do not believe in overbreeding our girls, and only allow one or two litters per year upon vet approval. Each litter born receives devoted care from birth until they leave. We use high grade formulas when needed. A proper introduction to food is essential to maintain a healthy transition during weaning. We use Royal Canin kitten chow, and high quality can foods. Non Toxic litter must be purchased to introduce them to training, as most commercial brands can be toxic to the babies. Each kitten is wormed according to age/weight, and receives the full course prior to leaving. At the final vet check, each kitten is given a thorough health exam and the initial series of vaccinations is started. They are also given Frontline as a preventitive measure. To us, it is more important to 'do it right' and that has a price tag on it. This is not a money making business, and we take our cats and kittens health standards seriously. Our prices reflect the expense we incur to provide CFA registered, healthy, well adjusted, socialized kittens that will bring you a life time of happiness. "Bargin" priced kittens are not what we strive to produce here at Cameowlot. We leave that up to the pet mills and brokers.

We back each kitten with a health guarantee from a licensed veterinarian. Our kittens are guaranteed against hereditary conditions.

To reserve a kitten that is not ready to leave yet a $300 non refundable deposit is required. Final payments must be cash. We do not accept personal checks for final payments. Kittens ready to leave that do not have deposits on them will be sold on a first come first serve basis, cash only. We do not verbally hold any kitten that is ready to go.

 

Prices do NOT include breeding rights on kittens sold as pet quality. Breeding rights are sold to reputable CFA registered catteries after our approval, of course.

YOUNG RETIRED  BREEDERS

On rare occasions, we must place a young breeder that prefers a pet life instead of a breeding life. Our breeders that are unhappy  with the hectic lifestyle of a cattery environment, and prefer a pampered pet life we can't offer, it is in their best interest to find a lap to warm in a quiet home. If you think you can provide them with a purrfect home to live out their life in the sunny spots of your house, please contact us. It is always very difficult to place our retired breeders, as we love them so, and in the event they must leave, we want to make sure they will be as loved and pampered as they are here. Contact us for availability and prices. All retired breeders are spayed/neutered, up to date on all shots, and very healthy. Price $300
